Surgery

Today, more than ever, pets are important members of our family. When our pets are sick or injured, we want the best possible care for them. Our hospital is staffed by skilled doctors and technicians who are capable of handling the most complicated and demanding medical and surgical cases.

Quality patient care and client satisfaction are our top priorities. Our commitment to providing you and your pet with the most advanced veterinary medicine and surgery in a caring, compassionate atmosphere is second to none.

Companion Care Animal Hospital is fully equipped to perform many types of surgery. Soft tissue surgery includes ovariohysterectomy (spay), orchiectomy (castration/neuter), Lumpectomies (tumor removal), and many intra-abdominal surgeries.

Some of the orthopedic procedures that we perform include fracture repair and joint surgery. Our doctors have experience successfully repairing torn anterior cruciate ligaments, the most common knee injury in dogs and cats.

Prior to each procedure, every patient receives a thorough physical examination and laboratory tests to determine whether there are any existing medical conditions that may endanger your pet’s health.

Pain management also is an important part of pre-, intra-, and post-operative protocols. All surgical patients, including those undergoing routine procedures such as spay/neuter surgeries, receive pain control medications. We urge you to discuss pain management options with our staff.
